Lavazza associates work yearly with one of our coffee or tea farming communities on a project to better their livelihoods and increase their capabilities.
We partnered with World Coffee Research to start the WCR Verified Certification Program in Central America—bringing scientific research to our coffee farmers to help them grow healthy and sustainable crops.

We work with Ethical Tea Partnership to sponsor Farmer Field Schools and Village Savings and Loan Associations to ensure a more secure future for tea farming communities.

In 2008, after seeing the needs of coffee-growing families from coffee and cocoa origin trips, a Lavazza Professional associate, Frank LaRusso, adopted an orphanage in Sonsonate, El Salvador called Hogar Inmaculado Corazón de María. Each year Frank has led Lavazza Professional associates in initiatives supporting the education and supply needs of 55+ orphans and 200+ students - our Coffee Kids.
